Mujeres que Transforman
Strengthening women-led businesses and economic autonomy.
As part of its Sustainability Strategy and its commitment to Gender Equity, Rymel runs Mujeres que Transforman (Women Who Transform), an initiative aimed at strengthening the capabilities of women entrepreneurs and small business owners from social organizations located in our area of influence in Copacabana, Antioquia.
Why this initiative was created
In the territories where we operate, we recognize the role women play in the development of their families and communities. Many of them lead businesses and productive activities that are a source of income for their households, but they face challenges related to managing their businesses, setting prices, selling, accessing new markets and using digital tools.
Against this backdrop, Mujeres que Transforman seeks to move gender equity from awareness to action, providing tools and building capabilities that drive the sustainability of their businesses and greater economic autonomy for the women who lead them.
An initiative that connects training and opportunities
To carry out this process, Rymel works with strategic partners that contribute knowledge and practical tools on topics such as business models, costs and pricing, commercial strategies, social media, digital tools and artificial intelligence.
The program is aimed at women with businesses, microenterprises or productive initiatives linked to social organizations in Rymel's area of influence in Copacabana. The company's support complements this training through the management and recruitment of participants, on-the-ground support and follow-up throughout the process, with the purpose of connecting what they learn with real opportunities for these entrepreneurs.
From learning to new opportunities
Beyond acquiring knowledge, the aim is for participants to have concrete tools to make decisions about their businesses and define their own growth paths.
Along these lines, Rymel is planning a second stage of connection and visibility for these businesses, which will make it possible to get to know their products and services and to identify, according to the company's needs and internal processes, potential opportunities for working with local suppliers.
In this way, Mujeres que Transforman goes beyond training to become a driver of local economic development, a stronger social fabric and real opportunities for the women of the territory.
