At Rymel, we are moving toward low-carbon operations by incorporating renewable energy, measuring emissions, and defining strategies for decarbonization and climate adaptation.

Climate Action

Key Developments

Generation of 35–40% of the energy required for operations through the photovoltaic plant.

Energy consumption from renewable sources, achieving net-zero emissions under Scope 2. The energy comes from the photovoltaic plant and green energy purchased from the grid.

Corporate carbon footprint measurement up to Scope 3 for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025.

The company began analyzing the risks associated with climate change and defined an initial roadmap to strengthen the organization’s mitigation, adaptation, and resilience in the face of climate challenges.

We have voluntarily begun implementing the Organizational Sustainable Mobility Plan (POMS), a strategy aimed at promoting more efficient and responsible transportation alternatives for our employees. Through this initiative, we seek to help reduce transportation-related emissions, strengthen a culture of sustainable mobility, and promote practices that contribute to people’s well-being and the protection of the environment.

Technological transition toward lower-emission processes through the implementation of hybrid furnaces (electric and natural gas), zero-emission technologies, and more efficient equipment, with the aim of reducing the operation’s environmental impact.
