Used Transformer Collection and Management Systems (WEEE)

At Rymel, we care about the environment. That is why we have developed a comprehensive system for the collection and management of used transformers, ensuring their proper disposal and minimizing their environmental impact. This system applies exclusively to Rymel-brand distribution and metering transformers, provided they meet the established requirements.

Harvesting requirements

  • Must be a Rymel brand product, with the original nameplate or emblem.
  • Must be free of PCBs (laboratory test results dated within the last month).
  • No oil leaks.
  • Be properly packaged to facilitate transportation.
  • To be delivered in a major city.

How to request collection?

  1. Fill out the pickup request form available on the website. Provide information about the equipment and its location. Form.
  2. Attach the gas chromatography report for the equipment to the application (form or email) to certify that it is free of PCBs.
  3. Once the request is received, Rymel will contact the owner to coordinate the logistics of picking up the equipment.
  4. The equipment will be transported to Rymel's facilities.
  5. Once the equipment has been received, Rymel will conduct qualitative tests to confirm the absence of PCBs and will send the owner a receipt indicating the quantity in units or approximate weight (kg) and the date of receipt.
  6. If potential PCB contamination is detected, the equipment will be returned to the owner, who will be responsible for the shipping costs.
  7. Rymel will evaluate the possibility of reusing the equipment or any of its components. If this is not possible, the equipment or its parts will be delivered to an authorized operator for the treatment and reuse of WEEE.
  8. Within a maximum of 90 days from the date the equipment is collected, Rymel will provide the manufacturer with the final certificate of equipment recycling.

Your commitment is key

If you decide not to use our collection system, we encourage you to properly manage your waste by turning it over to an authorized waste management company in accordance with current regulations. Your cooperation is essential to protecting our planet.

Responsible Resource Management

Responsible Water Resource Management

At Rymel, we reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection through efficient wastewater treatment systems. We have two plants designed to ensure proper water resource management, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and current environmental regulations.

Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant

Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant

Our domestic wastewater treatment plant (ARD) operates using an extended aeration activated sludge system. This process allows us to efficiently treat wastewater from bathrooms, locker rooms, the dining hall, and the laundry room, ensuring its proper purification.

The system includes various treatment stages, such as grease traps, an equalization tank, an aeration unit, a balancing tank, a sedimentation tank, and other necessary stages, including sludge clarification and a disinfection process. All of these stages ensure the removal of contaminants and compliance with environmental regulations, promoting water conservation and proper water management within our operations.

Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant

Our industrial wastewater treatment system (ARI) is designed to efficiently treat wastewater generated by painting and repair processes. Operating through a controlled series of physicochemical treatment processes in tanks, this system includes neutralization, oxidation, sedimentation, and filtration stages, ensuring the effective removal of contaminants.
